Sleepy Hollow: Plot

In 1799 Ichabod Crane, a New York City police who is user of innovative investigative techniques like autopsies, is sent by his superiors to small village called Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of slayings in which the victims became decapitated.

When he arrived here, the town elder's tell him that the murderer is a headless supernatural warrior from beyond the grave. At the beginning Ichabod was skeptical about that legend until he encounters the headless warrior. Being at the home of the Van Tassels, the town's richest family, Crane develops an attraction to the daughter, Katrina. Also he had a lot of nightmares of his mother's torture when he was only a child.

Ichabod finally uncovers a murky plot based in revenge and land rights with the misterious Horseman controlled by Katrina's stepmother, Lady Van Tassel. After a fight and a long chase into the wood, Crane eventually thwarts Lady Van Tassel's plan by returning the skull to the headless Horseman who returns to the hell with his enslaver.
